SUMMARY:United Wards Club Civic Lunch - 18 June 2026
DESCRIPTION:The United Wards Club of the City of London is delighted to invite members and friends to attend this years Civic Luncheon at Bakers’ Hall on Thursday\, 18th June!  This is one of the most important annual events in the Club calendar and will be attended by Sheriffs Alderman Robert Hughes-Penney and Deputy Keith Bottomley together with their consorts. \nThe reception will commence at 12 noon with lunch at 1pm. The event will close at 3pm. \n*** BOOKINGS NOW OPEN *** \n\nTickets – £130\nBookings close:  5th June 2026 – No cancellations will be refunded after that date.\nA separate pour memoire will be sent by email to each attendee’s email address a few days prior to the event.\n\nEvent notes: \n\nDress code:  Morning suits where possible or business suits for Gentlemen. Day dresses for Ladies and hats are encouraged.\nPhotographs will be taken during the event\, and some may be added to our archives\, online. SUMMARY:Visit to Bletchley Park - 4th July 2026
DESCRIPTION:Come and join us for a visit to the home of the code breakers at Bletchley Park. www.bletchleypark.org.uk \n \nItinerary \n11.30                 Arrive at Bletchley Park. Tea\, coffee and biscuits will be provided in the café in the visitor centre by the entrance \n12.30                 Guided tour around the Park \n13.30                 Tour ends. You are now free to explore the Park\, buildings and museum at your leisure. Your ticket is an annual pass so you can return any time in the next 12 months to see the parts you don’t get to on this visit. The Park closes at 17.00. They do not have a facility for us to have lunch together but there are two cafes on site – both Block C and Hut 4 provide cold refreshments and Hut 4 has hot food as well as beer or wine. \nCost \nThe cost for the visit to include your annual pass\, tea and coffee on arrival and the guided tour is £40 per person. When booking please indicate if you would like to purchase a guide book – these cost £6.50 if pre-ordered or £7.50 on the day. \nThe closing date for bookings is Monday 15th June \nGetting there \nFast trains depart London Euston at 56 and 23 minutes past the hour\, returning at 10 and 40 minutes past. The journey takes approximately 35 minutes. There are also two slow trains an hour which take about an hour. The 9.23 will get you to Bletchley at 10.01 and Bletchley Park is a 5 minute walk across the road.
