DESCRIPTION:The Club will be holding a Members & Friends event from 17:30 on the evening of 01 October 2026 in the Alderman’s Dining Room of the City’s iconic Guildhall.   \nThe aim is to have a fun evening and encourage member’s friends and contacts to attend and join on the night with the cost of the evening offset as a discount against the first years subscription. \nDate & Time: 01 October 2026\, 5:30 PM – 7:30PM \nEvent Description: The United Wards Club is excited to announce a special evening aimed at welcoming new members to our vibrant community. This event offers a fantastic opportunity for members to bring friends and contacts to experience the spirit of the Club and potentially join us on the night. \nEvent Highlights: \n\nFun and Networking: Engage with fellow members and guests in a relaxed and informal setting.\nAddress from senior City member\n\nExclusive Membership Offer: The event fee of £25 will be offset against the first year’s subscription for any new members who join during the evening.\n\nCatering: Complementary drinks red wine\, white wine\, beer\, and soft drinks and a selection of nibbles. \nThe event will wrap up at 7:00 PM\, leaving attendees free to make their own dinner arrangements afterward. \nMembership Drive: Members are strongly encouraged to book for a guest or two who might be interested in joining along with themselves. \nPricing: £25 per person. This amount will be deducted from the first year’s membership fee for new joiners. \nJoin us for an enjoyable evening and help grow the United Wards Club community!

DESCRIPTION:* BOOKINGS NOW OPEN *\nThe United Wards Club of the City of London was founded on 31 October 1877\, and we shall commemorate this at our Founders’ Day Dinner on 30th October 2026 at Glaziers Hall\, the only Livery Hall on the South side of the River Thames\, with breathtaking views across to the City of London.  This is one of the most important annual events in the Club calendar and we would encourage all members to attend. Guests are very welcome. Joining us will be the Chair\, Master and President respectively of the Royal Society of St George\, the Guild of Freemen and the City Livery Club together with their consorts. Our speaker will be Dhruv Patel CBE\, High Sheriff of Greater London and Past President of UWC \n\nTickets – £165\nA limited number of tickets are available for members at a discounted price of £150 on a first come first served basis. \nPlease note these are strictly for members only and members should ensure their non-member guests purchase full price tickets.\n\n\nBookings close:  23:30 on 15th October 2026 – No cancellations will be refunded after that date.\nA separate pour memoire will be sent by email to each attendee’s email address a few days prior to the event.\n\nEvent notes: \n\nTimings:  18:45 drinks reception for 19:30 dinner.  Carriages at 22:30\nDress code:  Black Tie\n\nA black dinner suit and black bow tie with white dress shirt for gentlemen\nA calf-length or long dress\, or an evening suit for ladies.\n\n\n\n\nPhotographs will be taken during the event\, and some may be added to our archives\, online.
