United Wards Club Civic Lunch – 18 June 2026
The United Wards Club of the City of London is delighted to invite members and friends to attend this years Civic Luncheon at Bakers’ Hall on Thursday, 18th June! This is one of the most important annual events in the Club calendar and will be attended by Sheriffs Alderman Robert Hughes-Penney and Deputy Keith Bottomley together with their consorts.
The reception will commence at 12 noon with lunch at 1pm. The event will close at 3pm.

- Bookings close: 5th June 2026 – No cancellations will be refunded after that date.
- A separate pour memoire will be sent by email to each attendee’s email address a few days prior to the event.
Event notes:
- Dress code: Morning suits where possible or business suits for Gentlemen. Day dresses for Ladies and hats are encouraged.
- Photographs will be taken during the event, and some may be added to our archives, online. By attending a UWC event, members and their guests give their permission for their photographs to be taken by an official photographer or the Clerk. Please let the photographer know if you object to having your photo taken.
- The catering for the evening will be provided by Cook and Butler.

Starter: Marinated Fillet of Scottish Salmon, Juniper Berry Crust with English Asparagus & Watercress From Cobrey Farm Wye Valley and Lime Drizzle (Vegetarian option: Crushed Avocado & Lime Jerusalem Artichoke)
Main: Canon of New Season Lancashire Grass Fed Lamb, Garden Leaf Mint Crust, Redcurrant Pan Juice Gravy, Jersey Royal Potatoes and Roast Summer Early Harvest Vegetables (Vegetarian option: Asparagus Risotto, Watercress sauce)
Dessert: Hugh Lowe Farm Berries Summer Tart and Jersey Dairy Gold Ice Cream
