From medieval pilgrims and royal weddings to imperial rivalry, exploration, literature and the modern financial City, this walk uncovers a wealth of surprising stories hidden in familiar surroundings. Whether your interests are history, architecture, royal pageantry or life in the City of London, prepare to discover unexpected connections at every turn as we trace together the Spanish thread woven through eight centuries of the City’s remarkable history.
Practical information
Starting point – Temple Bar
Meeting time – from 5.45pm for a prompt 6pm departure
Finishing point – London Bridge (close to the Monument)
Finishing time – approx 7.45pm in good time for an 8pm dinner reservation at The Folly, Gracechurch Street.
Cost
Total cost to attend the City Walk will be £25 per person.
Bookings close at 23;30 on 11 September 2026. No cancellations will be refunded after that date.

After the walk (we have a private room booked for a one course supper from 20:00 at Bar & Restaurant in Central London – The Folly for those who wish to join us.
For attendees who wish to join the supper: Please RSVP this by 11 September 2026 – This will allow us enough time to contact you with regards to the main course menu options and provide you with the link where you can pre-order (and pre-pay for!) your food order, as The Folly need our pre-orders n order to cater for any dietary requirements anyone might have.
