United ward club visit to Central London Mosque
A small group gathered on Wednesday 7th January 2026 for a visit to The Central London Mosque as part of Chris Edge’s presidential programme focussing on celebrating our rich religious diversity. The tour started with a brief presentation by Mohamed Mezzi of the history of the mosque and its British architect. We then joined the prayers in the central prayer room, followed by a tour of the exhibition rooms on the history of Islam.
It was an educational and inspiring visit. Thanks go to Hannan Ali for organising the tour and for Emma Woods for event management. A select few then went onto Pizza Express for lunch.
